Development of the High-Pressure Direct-Injected, Ultra Low-NOx Natural Gas Engine

A report on development of the Cummins Westport ISXG natural gas engine is now available on the Natural Gas Vehicle Technology Forum Website. The 15L engine--rated at 450 hp and 1,650 ft-lb of torque--demonstrated NOx emissions of 0.6 g/bhp-hr over the FTP and thermal efficiency comparable to state-of-the-art diesel engines.
