BAF Expands Offerings To Include Additional Ford Engines

(Dallas, TX) – BAF Technologies, the premier provider of natural gas and propane vehicle upfits, today announced the 2007 Ford 6.8L  engine is currently undergoing the required emission tests needed for  CARB and EPA certification. The  6.8L E-450 is expected to be available beginning this November.

The E450 will utilize the same proprietary technology employed on the Ford Crown Victoria earlier this year. The Crown Vic and the related engine family exceeded standards set by both CARB and EPA, and the E450 is expected to do the same.

“The Crown Vic technology was so successful we are eager to apply it to other Ford engine families,” says John Bacon, president. “We expect the E450 to achieve similar results and will then move to other products within the Ford truck line.”

BAF will then move to certifying the E350, completing testing in November and making the vehicle available in January, 2007. Both the E450 and E350 are in high demand for use in fleets and shuttle vehicles.

BAF is also studying the market demand for the Ford F150 to determine whether certification will be pursued. The company expects to determine market opportunity by November and if viable, will complete certification for the 2007 model year.

BAF continues to work closely with Clean Energy and SCAQMD in pursuit of these certifications. Broadening the availability of vehicle types will enable all teams to achieve their business goals.

Those interested in purchasing these vehicles should contact their Ford dealer.
